| 2006 - 227 | The Illinois State Library is asking the Illinois library community to continue building upon the strong tradition and spirit of cooperative sharing by fully participating in the completion of the ILLINET Interlibrary Loan Traffic Survey. The ILLINET Interlibrary Loan Traffic Survey has been released, and invitations have been sent by email and postal mail to all members of the Illinois library community. You will need to know your ELI (Every Library in Illinois) control number. The URL to ELI is http://eliillinois.org/. If you do not know your respondent key number, contact Gwen Harrison or the Library Research Center. If you have questions regarding the content of the survey, contact Gwen at 217-785-7334 or gharrison@ilsos.net. If you experience technical difficulties, contact the Library Research Center at 217-333-1980. | 2006 - 228 | As part of the Literary Legends series sponsored by the Champaign Public Library and Parkland College, Sherman Alexie will present a free program for the public at the Parkland Theatre on Wednesday, June 12, 2006, at 7 p.m. The event will include a question and answer time followed by a book signing. Mr. Alexie's works include the novels Reservation Blues, The Lone Ranger & Tonto Fistfight in Heaven, and the screenplay for the acclaimed film Smoke Signals.
