2006 - 152

LINC Acquisition Demonstration:  LTLS invites all directors of libraries not currently using the Acquisitions module to a demonstration/discussion on April 20, 2006, 10-11:30 a.m., at LTLS.  The point of this meeting is to provide enough information about the product for the director to make a decision on whether or not the Acquisitions module would be of benefit to the library’s patrons.  The major benefit of using the Acquisitions module is that a library’s patron can place holds on items that are on order.  When the items are barcoded, the patron will get the items first.  Training sessions for staff members could take place after security and the module have been set up.  Directors can also join us virtually via the web and a telephone conferencing number.  You will need a computer connected to either a cable modem or T1 and a telephone that can be muted.  If you would like to join us virtually, please send an email to ltls@lincolntrail.info stating that is your intention.  A confirming email with all the information that you need for the meeting will be sent a few days before the 20th.  Registration is required.  Register at http://dot.ltls.org:591/OnlineReg/onlinereg.htm or send an email to ce@lincolntrail.info.  If you have any questions, call Donna Schaal at 217-352-0047, Ext. 204, or email dschaa@lincolntrail.info.
